"Education is our greatest opportunity to give an irrevocable gift to the next generation."

Ernie Fletcher

On 22 June 2024, KENCO Technical Assistance and Training Solutions, Inc, celebrated their THIRD year with an Annual Networking and Fundraising Event! Held at The Board Room in Arlington, VA, the event was as much of a celebration as it was an intentional networking event! Attendees networked with leaders in Supply Chain, Federal Government, Operations, Finance, Government Contracting, Logistics as well as Small Business Owners!

There was also a HUGE announcement with Scholarship Chair, Shelita, announcing four (4) scholarship opportunities for the 2024 School Year! For more information, please visit our Scholarships page!

Each guest received KENCO TATS folders filled with updated information regarding the organization, to include information about the new scholarship opportunities available!  The folders also include an environment friendly giveaway - a pencil that can be planted and will produce "forget me not' flowers, with each pencil personalized to say, "Plant flowers for the benefit of the next generation."

On display was a lovely photo board telling a visual story of "KENCO TATS - The First Three Years!"  The photos were amazing reminders of events over the years, such as the Soft Launch in 2021, the Grand Launch in 2022, the Holiday Happy Hour in 2022 and the Second Annual Event in 2023.  The story board also included photos of KENCO TATS outreach activities which included fundraising within the community as well as speaking with High School students in Arlington Country, VA in March 2024.

At 6:30pm, the Board of KENCO TATS introducing themselves, their interest and/or current career path in Supply Chain Management.  Each Board Member also shared professional advice such as the importance of a mentor, why you should toot your own professional horn and of course, the importance of networking - you never know how the hand you shake today, will help you tomorrow!

After introductions, guests were encouraged to make meaningful connections through various activities such as Networking BINGO which included fun squares to ensure introductions were made, photos were taken with a new peer, and at least three new connections were made!

Additionally, instead of a silent auction, each guest was provided with one (1) free raffle ticket.  The three raffle baskets supported small Black and Minority businesses.  The "Coffee Basket" included coffee by BLK & BOLD ( and all of the baskets include chocolate by Chocolate Therapy (  Nate Ferguson, Shelita Winfield Duke and Melissa Rivers were the three lucky winners - congratulations!

From the Board of KENCO TATS, all of your support, positive energy and words of kindness were beyond appreciated! Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised $1,150 to support operational costs, with 50% going to the scholarship fund! We hope to see each of you at future events and as always, bring a friend!
